BUSINESS ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT 120
DESCRIPTION
This is an introductory course in business organization, operation, and management. The understanding of business operations as practiced in Canada is a major objective of the course. The main areas of study include legal forms of ownership, management, marketing, finance and includes a computer simulation.
The course follows a traditional method of lecture and class work with the added element of project-based learning. Students will be working with the community to identify and solve problems. Through a series of steps, the end result will be the building of a product or a service business culminating in students presenting their work at an end-of-year showcase event.
