Our DjI Mavic Mini is an easy to use mini drone that weighs less than 250g making it usable without needing a pilots licence from Nav. Canada. Students can complete the quick lesson course on how to fly a drone and then can use it for the following applications:
To date drones have been used in the following applications here at CNHS:
1. Filming the 2020 graduation ceremony
2. Housing and Design Class using the drone to inspect the roof and structure of Shamrock Suites our local Bed and Breakfast.
3. Potato field inspection and livestock inspection.
- English - stories and video for narration
- History - providing extra video and narration for historical presentation
- Math/Science - providing video showing support structures like bridges
